The principal investment objective of the strategy is to gain exposure to three themes which are expected to deliver strong growth across the globe over the coming decade. These include Biotechnology, Blockchain and Robotics. The exposure is achieved via equal weighting in three distinct listed vehicles, one investment trust and two exchange traded funds.

Performance of Future Tech Strategy

Commentary on Recent performance

The past quarter has seen the Future Tech Strategy underperform the wider market, as consumer stocks were purchased in preference to technology. The post-Covid market recovery saw a strong emphasis on more traditional companies at the expense of higher growth tech companies and this is evident in the relative performances over 1 and 2 years. Longer term, we remain convinced that the three component areas of the strategy, Blockchain, Biotech and Robotics will continue to be very strong growth sectors within the global economy.
