JONATHAN MCMAHON

JONATHAN MCMAHON

Jonathan’s career has been spent in financial services. From the mid-2000s he specialised in bank recovery and restructuring, initially at consultancy/private equity firm Promontory Financial Group, and later as Head of the Financial Measures Programme in Ireland for the EC-ECB-IMF between 2009 and 2012. Since becoming Joint Chief Operating Officer, in St. James’s Place, Jonathan has assumed responsibility for a number of areas, including HR, Learning and Development, and distribution in the South West of England and Wales and Ireland and our Property Management teams. He is a Trustee of the St. James’s Place Charitable Foundation and National Star. He was educated at St Andrews University, The College of William and Mary, London Business School and IMD (Lausanne).

Our Managing Director, Gerry has 30 years experience in financial services, with a particular focus on retirement planning and investment. A Fellow of the Irish Institute of Pension Managers, he is a regular public speaker on financial issues.

George has over 30 years’ experience in the financial services industry. Since 1994 George has worked with St. James’s Place where he originally joined as a Partner. The last 15 years George has been Head of Business at the Bristol location for St. James’s Place. He is heavily involved in equestrian sport and off shore boating.

HARLEY MURPHY

HARLEY MURPHY

Harley has more than 35 years experience in the financial services sector. He was Country Head for BNY Mellon in Ireland until September 2008. Harley had previously spent two years with Mellon as Regional Head for Scotland and also spent time in Melbourne. Until 1999, Harley had been a Senior Vice-President with ABN AMRO working as a career expat in Asia and Europe for 12 years. He is a qualified accountant and holds a Masters from Smurfit UCD. Harley enjoys travelling in his free time, particularly visiting his children and grandkids in London and Melbourne.
